New Crew has been working with Bob Berry, the founder of "Remote Coxswain" from Nathan Benderson Park. Bob has created a patent-pending remote steering mechanism that allows blind and/or deaf rowers to be able to row safely while someone on land or a safety launch has control of the rudder and steers it remotely. Check out the Remote Coxswain Instagram page for videos and demos on his incredible work!
New Crew has also provided a safe space for amputee and paraplegic athletes. The park recently hosted a rowing clinic for a group of Colombian heroes/first responders where they used New Crew blades and the park's adaptive equipment.
